Hi, I’m Emily French.
You’ll find me in the apothecary, the gardens, or (best of all) out in the forest with a harvesting basket on my arm. My kids might be tagging along with me, making my heart extra full. I’ll definitely be talking to the plants, and I’ll almost certainly have a smile on my face.
My journey into the world of the medicine plants started in my teens. I have such a vivid memory of listening to herbalist Chris Marano (my beloved teacher) talk about herbalism for the first time. My heart and bones remembered something then that my mind couldn’t yet fully comprehend, which was that the medicine plants sometimes take root in our bodies and then never leave us. It’s been over 20 years since that day, and I’m as enthralled as ever. In 2011 I opened my own clinical practice and have been working as a clinical herbalist, educator, wildcrafter, grower, and medicine maker ever since.
The plants have blessed me beyond my wildest dreams, and I want to share that magic with you. 🌿

This course includes 36+ Hours of small group class time, wildcrafting, making plant medicines, learning about the medicinal herbs and about personal and family health, creating your apothecary, etc.

This course includes 42 hours of in-class time PLUS 30 hours of guided out-of-class time, which is spent practicing diagnostic tools, working on individual/ small group projects, wildcrafting, medicine-making, and completing readings.

Designed for those who wish to gain the knowledge and confidence that only real-time clinical observation and corresponding custom-tailored herbal formulation can offer. This is a small-group setting with real clients, 24 hours of in-class time over 4 months, plus out-of-class reflections, formulations, readings, and feedback.
