• Coming Home To Ourselves

“And I said to my body softly, ‘I want to be your friend.’

It took a long breath and replied, ‘I have been waiting my whole life for this.’”

– Nayyirah Waheed

Our experiences shape us - inside and out.

Our life imprints stories into our tissues and bones.

These stories quite literally become the way we are wired to interact with ourselves and the world. Sometimes this is exquisite. Sometimes it holds us back.

Each of our organ systems holds a sum total of our interactions, experiences, and narratives.

To understand what health, and healing, really look like, we have to know how each of our systems interacts with the whole, and how to bring vitality, balance, compassion, wisdom, and care to our own physical and emotional selves.

This 6 week course at the intersection of herbalism and somatic healing creates a container for a deep exploration of the systems of our bodies: how each connects with the whole, where different emotions are housed, how and why we respond brilliantly (and at times heart wrenchingly) to stress and to safety, how to nourish ourselves with herbs, foods, somatic self-care practices, and gentle, compassionate, transformative understanding.

PLUS we’ll have two bonus classes with incredible guest teachers included at NO ADDITIONAL COST!

COMING HOME TO OURSELVES is for you if…

  • you often feel run down, exhausted, anxious, overwhelmed, and/or get sick easily and you aren’t sure how to get out of those ruts

  • you are curious about how your body works, in all its wild, amazing ways, and want to have a deeper appreciation for your intricacies, intelligence, and strength

  • you are going through major life changes (pregnancy, parenthood, the beginning or end of an important relationship, a startling diagnosis…) and want to move through the tumult (which can be beautiful, difficult, and is often both) with tools to help you understand your own needs and advocate for yourself from a place of wisdom and resilience

  • you long to feel more fully at home in your body and to more completely, gracefully embody the full range of your emotions

  • you are looking for sophisticated information about working with medicinal plants to address imbalances in physical and emotional health

  • you have explored the limits of talk therapy but are still recreating old patterns of behavior that your body hasn’t been ready to let go of yet

  • you are living with chronic illness or imbalance and want to better understand the root causes that are hindering your healing process

  • you are a sensitive person who has felt the need to armor up in life, but now struggle to take the armor off even when it’s objectively safe to do so
